Online Economics Course - In One Article

This is not Economics In One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt - Hazlett's book is required reading to understand money and governments. This book is also used in some BFU courses.

No -- this article is on the current state of monetary affairs outlined by a successful speculator (and surprisingly an economist) - Dr. Marc Faber.

Dr. Faber writes the useful the Gloom Doom and Boom newsletter - and is a frequent speaker at investment conferences. These are the kind of conferences that economists usually avoid - they talk about speculation.

Faber is interviewed about his outspoken views on myths of the markets. He takes the time to also attack sacred financial institutions that work against a stable economy.

What I find most interesting are his views on the markets, currencies, and international trends.

It will only take a few minutes to gain Marc Faber's insights - and they may provide some very valuable personal insights on speculation for you.

Consider this article as a preamble to a finance course - it makes too much sense to be economics.
